Trees

For many years we provided species guides in the Visitor Centre in Connemara National Park, which have proved very popular with visitors.

We are currently putting together a series of digital versions of these species guides, that visitors can download before/after a visit to the National Park. To follow the butterfly guide that was posted last week, we have put together information on the trees that are found in Connemara National Park.

Click here to download the tree guide. Why not get out in your garden and see if you can identify any of the trees using our guide! To keep you interested, Breandan has been keeping an eye on the various tree species with regard to whether they are flowering or coming into leaf etc. Details can be found below. Why not use our guide to check if you have any of the species in your garden or in your local area.
