Connemara National Park Trails

In line with the Government’s COVID19 restrictions,  the grounds of the National Park remain open to visitors in Co. Galway or within 20km, which ever distance is greater.

The are no facilities open on site i.e. cafe, visitor centre, playground and toilets are closed. The car park has re-opened today, June 8th.

We would like to inform visitors that there is a one way system for walking the trails, which must be followed for physical distancing purposes.

You are very welcome to walk the trails if you are living within the limits of the current travel restrictions. If you are going to walk to the top of Diamond Hill, please bear in mind the message from Galway Mountain Rescue Team (GMRT) about hill walking at this time. Please see GMRT Facebook for details.
