Visitors please be advised that Connemara National Park will be closed from 6pm, Wednesday, 19th August until 9am, Friday, 21st August, due to a weather warning being issued for Storm Ellen. Please refer to our information page on Weather Warnings.
The Park is staffed 7 days a week from 9am to 5.30pm for advice, enquiries and toilet facilities if required – visitors are asked to wear a face mask when entering and moving around buildings including toilets.
The exhibition in the Visitor Centre is reopening from October 27th in line with the new Covid19 guidelines. A one-way system is in place and visitors are asked to wear face masks. Note: exhibition is closed from 1-2pm daily.
Hungry Hiker Café is open for takeaways and indoor/outdoor dining.
Please follow the one way systems on all the trails.
Playground has re-opened but is not supervised by National Park staff. The AV film is currently not accessible due to Covid19.
Wild Camping is permitted outside the exclusion zone. See the rules for camping here. Overnight stays in the Car Park or with Camper Vans is not permitted. The use of campfires and/or disposable barbecues is also strictly prohibited.
Please keep dogs on leads at all times and plan to take your litter home as there are no bins outside.
