Biodiversity Events at Connemara National Park

Guided Nature Walk

Leaving from the Visitor Centre at 11am.

Please wear suitable footwear and clothing as these walks cover wet, uneven terrain.

 

Saturday 27th May

Guided Tree Walk  11am

Connemara Beekeepers Association  12noon - 4pm

Traditional Music and Dancing  1.30pm - 2.30pm

Crafts and Wood Turning Demonstration  2pm - 4pm

Children's Mini Archaeologist Workshop 1.30pm - 2.30pm & 3.30pm - 4.30pm

Booking is essential for this event as places are limited. Children must be 5years or over and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Waterproof clothing and wellingtons should be wore. Children will be provided with a light lunch and will be presented with a Mini Archaeologist Certifcate.

Afternoon Talk  The Wild Flowers of Connemara  4pm.

 

Sunday 28th May

Children's Archaeological Surveying Workshop  11am

Booking is essential for this event as places are limited. Children must be 5years or over and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Waterproof clothing and wellingtons should be wore. Children will be provided with a light lunch. This event will teach children how to survey a megalithic site and they will receive a Mini Archaeological Surveying Certificate.

Connemara Beekeepers Assocation  12noon - 4pm

Traditional Music and Dancing 1.30pm - 2.30pm

Guided Nature Walk  2.30pm

Paths are not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs

 

All our events are free of charge

 

Our Visitor Centre is now open daily from 9am - 5.30pm.

 

All our walking trails are open also.
