Visitor Centre opening on March 12th, 2018

The Visitor Centre for Connemara National Park will reopen for the 2018 on Monday 12th of March. We would like to remind visitors that there are no entrance fees for the National Park and this includes viewing the exhibition in the Visitor Centre and the Audio Visual.   In light of the Met Eireann RED snow-ice weather warning issued FOR ALL COUNTIES, all National Parks & Nature Reserves will be closed to the public today and tomorrow. Connemara National Park Birth Announcement

Connemara National Park is delighted to announce the birth of its first Irish Moiled "Maol" calf on 1st January 2018. The female calf is a welcome addition to the herd of Irish Moiled cattle being developed at the National Park. Irish Moiled or "Maol" cattle is one of Ireland's rarest and most distinctive traditional native cattle breeds.
